For the Photographer in You - 'You're Smarter Than Your Camera!' - October - Back with Composition!!!

Just as the nights draw in, the October blog is moving onto lighting...it will cover flash, off camera flash and also the 'bulb' setting.  Bulb is not directly linked to lighting, more of a control aspect of the shutter speed to allow you to capture those low light situations without the intruding flash!  So sign up or just tune in to find out more!!

Below is an image from the current blog...which outlines a fun technique called 'Zoom Burst'....check out the blog for more information!

I look forward to you joining me for this month!

Little Ditty About My Own Camera Fun - Squirrels, Acorns and Woodpeckers!

I love this story and have been meaning to find the time to get these images for such a long time...here goes.  The story goes something like this....the beautiful acorn woodpeckers collect the acorns and store them in these elaborately created holes, perfectly crafted for their acorn!...
...the squirrels come along and steal them for themselves and either eat them or bury them, to hide them from the woodpeckers!  Then!! guess what?  The woodpeckers dig them up and put them back in their slot!

Watch this fantastic video of an acorn woodpecker defending it's acorns!!

Next challenge... capture the woodpeckers on camera!!

October Project

I'm sure you can guess it!  If you get the chance, take a look at the October blog, the first one will be released on the 16th October.  Have a go at changing your lighting....you don't need any special equipment, the lighting blog also applies to making use of natural light.  Also, have a go at the nighttime shots without additional lighting...you may need something to rest your camera on, but it's well worth it!! As always, I'd love to see your favourite shots!

And that's it for October!

Thanks for reading the October newsletter, do get in touch if there is anything you would like to know more about!

Cheers,

Tracey xx
