I hear you say? - in England, on the 5th of November, an effigy of Guy is burnt on bonfires all over the country and everybody celebrates with fireworks, its so much fun. All he did was try to overthrow the king....in 1605!

There is lots read in this months newsletter - some great special offers and tips to get those fall images you see captured on your camera.  So thanks for reading and enjoy the newsletter.

Happy November and thanksgiving to you all,

Tracey xx

For the Photographer In You - Fall Photography

There is little debate that the fall brings us beautiful vibrant, multicoloured scenes.  People travel a long way to see what nature has to display at this time of year!  But...how do you capture some of what you see on your camera?  Here are a few tips -

- Pick Your Location - Keep an eye out on journeys that you make regularly i.e. drive to work or school or walking the dog and try to notice the changes in color each time you make the trip.  You will get a feel for the area you like and you can pick a few favourites to photograph when you feel the timing is best.

- Look Around - photographs can be taken from so many different angles - perhaps standing up isn't the best one for your subject choice.  In addition, fall colors can be captured through very small subject i.e. just a few leaves or an entire landscape.

- Notice the background - where is the subject the prettiest - is the sun behind you or in front?  Does the subject stand out from whats behind it or should you move to get a better background?

- The weather - fall can bring windy, changeable weather and perhaps you decide that early in the morning or late in the afternoon is the best time to get your shots.  You may need a tripod to take advantage of these special times.  A tripod also allows you to take several shots from the same angle, whilst changing your camera settings.
Little Ditty About My Own Camera Fun - Impressions of Mustang

I love the challenge of shooting the action of soccer games but every now and again, I have to switch things around a bit to keep me on my toes (since I'm not in the game!!)...last week I tried to do some arty shots of the players .....what do you think?

Quote of the Month

I love this quote -

'Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower' ~ Albert Camus

Albert Camus was an Algerian-born French author, philosopher, and journalist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1957
November Project

Try to take a few colorful fall photographs and pick your favourite three to place together to remind you of the wonderful color!  I'd love to see them if you want to share.
And that's it for November!

Thank you so much for reading my November newsletter, do get in touch if there is anything you would like to know more about!

Best wishes,

Tracey xx
